Black Dog, Crawshawbooth – 17-05-2018

The evening walk from the Black Dog was very well attended, with 23 people in total.  We welcomed some people back from our previous evening walk, and also a number of new people.  The weather was fantastic, and we had amazing 360 degree views once we had climbed up Bonfire Hill.  The views were worth the two hills to get there.

We had a short break near the top of the hill, and this was an opportunity to discuss some interesting sheep facts that had been researched by the walk leader!  There were lots of sheep and cute lambs around as we passed the wind farm on Bonfire Hill, but less enthusiasm for the 4 cows that were on the path!!!  The walk was measured on a phone app and was 4 miles long.  All 23 of us arrived back safely at 8.55pm, with just under half retiring to the Black Dog for a drink.  Hopefully many people will return for our next walk in June.
