About Us

The Rossendale Group is part of the Ramblers charity.  Our group has over 100 members, and is regarded as one of the friendliest groups in the area.  We walk around 10 miles every Wednesday and every first Sunday.  We also run 6-ish mile local walks on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of most months.  Finally, we have 2 hour local evening pub walks on the first and third Thursdays of the summer months, and also on the morning of the third Saturday of Feb, March, April, Oct, & Nov.  This is in addition to several walking weekends in the UK, and sometimes a full week away on the Continent.  We also organise a variety of social events, including a BBQ, Christmas meals, theatre trips, etc.

Many of the walks exploit the beauty of the local scenery but often we go further afield to the Yorkshire Dales, The Peak District, The Lakes or the Welsh mountains. See our Walks Schedule for further details.

Do have a browse around our site.  If you want more information or would like to join us on one of our many walks, please feel free to contact us.  Please also note our safeguarding policy regarding children and vulnerable adults.
