Ian Tattersall, an ex-member of Rossendale Ramblers, died on 9th May aged 85. Ian joined the group in the 1990’s and soon became an active member and walk leader. Later he became Chairman, and he undertook his duties diligently. He would step in and lead a walk if there was a gap in the calendar – he knew loads of walks! Ian loved the outdoors, walking in the countryside and the social aspect of being with friends. He was good company, and had a sense of fun and adventure. Ken Talbot d. 3.9.2022 Ken was a great outdoorsman who loved climbing and did some epic stuff on the crags and mountains, both at home and overseas. These included an ascent of The Matterhorn and several other Alpine giants, the challenging north side of Ben Nevis and most of the Munros. He was an accomplished fell runner who completed many long races in the Lakes, Wales and Scotland and was a regular in the two-day Karrimor Mountain Marathon.
