Garden Party and Bring & Buy – Saturday 15th August PLEASE BOOK IN & SAY WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING

All members and significant others are cordially invited to our annual get-together, hosted again by Maureen & Arnold at 171 Longsight Road, Greenmount, Bury, BL8 4DA. 

You will note that the name has changed from ‘BBQ’ to ‘Garden Party’.  This is for two reasons, firstly that Arnold has cleaned enough BBQs in his life, and secondly that last year the combination of a BBQ and a Jacob’s Join produced far too much food.  

Please note that the event will go ahead whatever the weather, as we can eat under cover – as we did last year – and Arnie’s Arms is available for cosy indoor relaxation.

Please arrive from 12.30 onwards, bringing with you one or more items for the bring & buy, the proceeds from which will be donated to one or more rambling-related charities.  Also bring whatever you want to drink, plus your contribution to the Jacob’s Join.  Food will be served from around 1.30, and we will hopefully be regaled by the Rocky Ramblers at some point in the afternoon.

The Jacob’s Join will hopefully contain a mix of savouries, salads, sweets, cheese, desserts, etc – whatever your imagination can dream up.
