Sunday 25th October – Water, water everywhere!

On Sunday25 October, Roy (01706 826570) will lead a 6.5 mile Grade 2 walk  from the Belmont area.  The walk will start at 10.00 am from the small car park at the side of the Wilton Arms, Belmont Road, BL1 7BT, or from the far side of the pub car park, SD 69957 13447, or 53.616699 , -2.4556250, or 53°37?00?N , 002°27?20?W, or W3W storms.cracks.belt  – red pin on map below.

The walk will include Dunscar Golf Club, Delph Reservoirs, and Longworth Clough.  There will be a break for lunch along the way.

This is a Roy walk in October, so there are likely to be plenty of  stiles, plus a quantity of mud, so please wear sensible shoes or boots, as well as a waterproof jacket in case of rain, and bring plenty of water to drink.

This walk is free, but after 3 walks with us you are asked to join The Ramblers, at a cost of only £3.75 per month for an individual, or £5.08 for joint membership.

Please note the following important points:

  • Prior booking is mandatory via this link. This enables walk leaders to organise their walk in line with the number attending.
  • Each individual walker must be on a separate booking, but if a walker does not have an email address, a friend or family member can book them on using their own email.
  • Booking closes one hour before the walk starts.

If you have any queries about coming on this walk, please contact the walk leader on the number above.  If you have booked on and are unable to attend, please inform the walk leader before the start of the walk.

Safety: We very much welcome new walkers with us, but would ask you to contact the leader beforehand to discuss the demands of the walk and what you need to bring.  If you are at all unsure of your capabilities, then we suggest you try one of our shorter walks – see Walks Schedule for details.  Please note our safeguarding policy regarding children and vulnerable adults, and note also that dogs are only allowed on our 2 hour pub walks.

This map is very interactive – you can move the map around and zoom in or out.
